Thank you for posting this thread Gunnair I wish that Old Fort William had been built at the original location on the Kaministiquia River.
It would have been cool to see the tall ships come to the old fort just like in the old days @ Fort Kaministiquia & Fort William! :D

CNN had a picture of the wrecked ship about 90 miles off shore. Ouch!...Had a chance to see HMS Bounty August 2010 in Thunder Bay sad to see her wreaked. Gunnairs Generator/Pump failure sounds like a pretty good reason for it to go down to me... After seeing some of the stuff that comes into drydoc...

Happy Birthday Yogi and nice filleting knife... I hope to get out fishing again soon too maybe try for Chinook Salmon in the Nipigon River. [B-o] Thanks FT4. Have you used a Lucky Strike Pixie for Salmon yet? It is already too late the salmon are starting to decay so they aren't any good to eat... ...

We have this problem on some lakes closer to town with cottages on them when I was younger we didn't have this kind of a water quality problem...But then a lot of lakes had no or less cottages.

I just finished watching "Hell on Wheels" set in 1865 and centered around a former Confederate Soldier working on the construction of the First Transcontinental Railway. It was pretty good story and pretty long one too there were 10 episodes of about 45 minutes each... :)
