...I don't for a moment claim to be an expert on the situation.... Makes two of us but I have my judgements & opinions :) Look at the situation at Calais. How could that be allowed to fester for so long. How could it be stopped, short of machine-gunning? These people don't come in twos & th...

Europe seems to be .... turning a blind eye to illegal immigration in order to keep down wages. I do not see why they don't just send them back where they came from. There could be various reasons but regardless, those migrants might be just a tiny wee bit difficult to "send back." What a...

Should we care about killing civilians, do you think? I think a bit of a Curtis Lemay firebombing approach to a couple of the major targets might get ISIS's attention. I guess that lets us know how you think about killing civilians. "The US Strategic Bombing Survey estimated that nearly 88,000...

Concerning air attacks, what I always wonder is how is it Raqqa and Mosul even have an Internet to recruit with, or for that matter electricity. I suppose if city streets or homes are being smashed you don't have to look far for recruits, even if they're not sure what they're being recruited into. ...

The "taunt" was offered humorously in what I took to be the spirit of yours to me :). Did it "work?" Certainly not as intended but what the hell, it's the internet.

I guess all religions have their nutty ideas and zealots to promote them, but the real problem here is identification of the religion with the state, giving it power to inflict its idiocy on the populace.

Do you believe air attacks in the mid-east are killing civilians and destroying their homes and lives? Do these tactics weaken or strengthen ISIS recruitment and the support it has among the general population; do they make the western countries more secure from terrorist activity, or less? What oth...
