I remember the Clinton Admin suggesting addressing this issue. Was shot down pretty quickly. Shot down... I'm not surprised by the statistic, especially as the drug companies are upping the amount of different diagnoses in order to sell a pill that treats it. If you are shy, you have social anxiety... |

(long and rather techie, sorry) I'm a journalist, but for several years a business partner and I ran one of the oldest ISP's in the US. I did hands-on network administration work as well as business development, and wrote a series of how-to articles explaining really complicated technology in simple... |

It's original purpose is to allow you to share the intimate details of your life that nobody wants to know about with people who don't care what you had for lunch. The media use it heavily to put out breaking news updates, and even to ask questions. I watched today on Twitter as a guy from Reuters i... |

That is so Seattle. LARPing superheroes. I love it. Criminals probably run away because they fear the crazy might be contagious. |

"Balsam was working as a marketer when he received one too many e-mail pitches to enlarge his breasts." LOL We'd probably see more of these type of suits if more states enacted the really tough anti-spam laws that California has. More power to him. Back when I lived in Beantown and ran an ... |

I think we should replace all of our governors with actors, maybe the rest of the politicians as well. It's not like they could do a worse job.
I'll take Chuck Norris, with Wesley Snipes as Lt. Gov. This is a pretty rough state, a lot of crime, we need someone really bad ass for our governor. |

So what do people think of Up and Down the Stairs? I like it. Nice funky jazzy sound. One suggestion: when you guys are recording, I'd back off the cymbals a little and bring up the toms, because you are getting too much crashing and not enough beat. I ran a recording studio for a while and I learn... |

I just don't get it. Small children, a nun, a woman in a wheelchair, and Santa...Santa? And we can't protest against it, because people who do get threatened with arrest and ejected from airports. You either do as they say or else. We are just supposed to suck it up and allow complete strangers to e... |

I disagree with the findings of that study, based on my own lifetime of research into the lives of people who qualify for the label "gifted" meaning 130 and above. A couple of years I wrote a "toolkit" for gifted youth to help them explain to people why they are different and why... |

It would be interesting to see how the numbers compared between the US and Canada in the era before 9/11 when fear-fuelled nationalism swept through the US. Noisy patriotism became fashionable, because if you weren't displaying the US flag on your person and in your business, and didn't know the wor... |
