Ha!!! Miller lite!

I hope you woke up to watch that one stupid, idiot, colour commentator's.

That's what a "soft" goal actually looks like when it goes in.

Lou never did let anything minor league like that.

Canada! Most Gold Medals of any country in the history of the Winter Olympics.

I just visited my favorite American political blog to see what they're saying as they get ready for the game. They have an open thread for the game. Want some samples? * The US has to score first. Get the crowd out of the game and put the Canadians on their heels. If they can get the Canadians to pr...

I read the article above, and kind of breezed over the feel-guilty-about-your-accomplishments Canada, bits. What I'm pretty sure I heard though is, if Team Canada wins hockey gold tomorrow, Canada will have won more gold medals than any other country in winter Olympics history. Apparently the Americ...

I'm tired of all the petty bitches, so I decided to find a happy article... Of mittens and moguls: Vancouver makes good Games host VANCOUVER (Reuters) - Any city that puts red woolen Olympic mittens on statues of local heroes is likely to be a loving one. Vancouver did not deceive on that front, giv...

One of the color guys appeared to want to parcel out at least partial blame for the goals in the third to Louongo. I didn't get that. I thought he played a great game, and didn't find the goals he let in to be cheap ones. I thought he shut the door on that final tying goal, and made some remarkable ...

Oh well...the mens' pursuit locked a medal. So with the medal lock in men's and women's curling we've actually tied the Norse in medal count for third. If the Canadian men lock a medal today in hockey, we pass them. Edit No wait, the Norwegian men curlers locked a medal, so we're still looking at a ...

I read this great semi-fictional book about Tecumseh one time. I think it was called Panther in the Sky. Even though it was fictionalized he made a good case for the idea Tecumseh died as a result of the ineptitude of the British General. (I forget his name, but I know Ontario named a city after him...

In Canada they're the queens of the ice. They can do whatever they want. It's the unwritten law. The IOC, and the AP can feel welcome to get stuffed. The press have been too anxious to be critical of these Olympics. Where were these keepers of the ethical gateway in the China Olympics? They should g...

It's too bad the Finns and Americans go first, because if (OK when) the Canadians beat the Slovaks I want to cheer for the Americans, because I want a rematch in the final.

(If the impossible happens and Canada loses against the Slovaks, I would have liked to have cheered for Finland.)

Maybe not. Team Canada does face the USA for hockey gold tonight.

It's the women of course...but still...

I'll stay awake for that one.

I so disagree with you there, Zip. I think Harper and Prentice's handling of the climate issue has been Machiavellian mastery. I'm glad they're on our side. Personally though, I wish they just had the balls of say Vaclav Klaus, the President of the Czech Republic who flat out calls global warming a ...

South Africa's been doing coal-to-liquid successfully for years (since 1955 actually). http://www.worldcoal.org/coal/uses-of-coal/coal-to-liquids/ It isn't just coal that's an available fossil fuel we don't use as much as we could. Last year Shell oil announced they have a process to produce oil fro...

Well as long as we're nit-picking, the issue is more about how much warming we can expect from how much human influence, what exactly the human influences are, and what if anything the dangers may be. That's just the scientific side of the argument, and just bullet points. But you're right the artic...

I used to watch the Retarded Policeman series, but I didn't used to subscribe back then. Just checked him out. He doesn't appear to be working on that series any more. He's still around though. http://www.youtube.com/user/MediocreFilms The best YouTube comedy series of all time looks to be out of th...
