This tax will be 100 % revenue neutral sounds a lot like Montreal Mayor Jean Drapeau's adage, the (1967) Olympics can no more lose money than a man can have a baby . End result was they lost about 2 Billion US, and finished paying off those Olmpics in 06. That revenue neutral line fits right in wit...

Ya know though...if you're a politician, and you want to play the GW game Campbell's figured out how to do it. You almost have to tip your cap to him. He's clever. It's like when he put all that money into transportation improvements recently. He wanted to do that anyway, but it was a big pill to sw...

Who killed the electric car? Short topic on that story. Who killed the elctric car? The link to the video is dead on that link now. I think it was just a short preview, or something anyway from the way they were talking on the thread. Want to see the whole documentary? Documentary: Who Killed the E...

The Horrifying American Roots of Nazi Eugenics By Edwin Black But the concept of a white, blond-haired, blue-eyed master Nordic race didn't originate with Hitler. The idea was created in the United States, Link to full article. It would be easier to take your idea seriously if it wasn't based on a ...

I lurk at this board that's specifically for conspiracy theories. I was attracted to it, because they talk about global warming sometimes. It's fun. Each theory has it's own forum. The UFO guys are a kick, because they have their own jargon - greys and lizard people and such. Actually all conspiracy...

In fact...I posted this link on another thread, but I love this little gizmo. Arctic Ice Pack Watcher It shows you 2 pics of the arctic ice pack side by side for any given pair of dates. HERE's September 20 2007 to February 16 2008 to show how big the record freeze is following the record melt.

Man, are you guys ever going to post a link to something that actually says what you claim it does. We'll have to proclaim a holiday, or something if you ever do. What that says is Fred Thompson is running for leadership of the republican party, and he hasn't swallowed the Global Warming ideology. H...

Here's an interesting coincidence. Is it coincidence or only influence? Nice of you to mention the word "influence". There's more on Hansen I was going to leave out in the interest of brevity, but seeing as the opportunity presents itself... Mr. Hansen received a $250,000 grant from the H...

Here's an interesting coincidence. I just posted that last post, then went to check the daily blogs on global warming, and this was the first item I saw. Why do so many outspoken alarmists have NASA Goddard connections? 1. Uber-alarmist James Hansen is head of NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studie...

Benoit What you have to understand is that prejudice is also an object of scientific research. I understand that concept. My point is that when prejudice is presented as scientific research it is still prejudice/lies/propaganda/BS. Ommission is perjury..... All the same, it is still a kind of crisi...

Speaking of the joke that is the GISS surface record, and why we should laugh at statements like 2007 was the second warmest year based on it, you've got to check out the photos and graphs on THIS WEBPAGE Here's another question I heard asked one time that I'd be curious to hear an answer to. We ass...

My favourite graph is the Sargasso Sea surface temperature: http://www2.tu-berlin.de/~kehl/project/lv-twk/002-Sargasso-Sea-surface-temperature.htm I'm a little surprised to hear you say that. You did read this part didn't you? Global temperatures appear to be rising, irrespective of any human influ...

Graphs are fascinating things. I don't understand the nuts and bolts, but I enjoy looking at them. It does seem like you can show different things depending on how you do them, and what data you use. For example with the one below they not only flatten from 98, they flatten from 97, 99, and the midd...

Again, 1998 being a classic cherry pick. Your entire argument rests on starting the clock from 1998. I'm looking at the larger trend. I'm aware one is considered a bit of a heretic in the alarmist camp for mentioning the fact the El Nino year of 1998 was the warmest year of the century, and all yea...
