Okay, I like wearing a poppy for all it symbolizes, but remember, it's just that... a symbol. Anyone can proudly don a poppy, it doesn't mean they necessarily support the vets. They could just be doing it for show. The reverse could be true as well. It's not just a question of wearing a poppy by an...

Hmmm....couldn't make head or tail of it but religion is usually a major turn-off for me.....seemed like another posting of an evangelical nature....

MaelstromRider MaelstromRider:
The interviewer in this clip nailed it.

These people are indoctrinating children, not teaching them.

Interesting clip, yes the interviewer was right.

For those who have a visceral reaction to these extremist Christians I'd also appreciate it if you'd have the same reactions when muslims say and *do* things that are just as bad if not worse. I would have the same negative reaction to any religion doing such things as shown in this short cl...

Not that it didn't confirm to me anything I didn't know already but that was thoroughly disturbing. Fancy brainwashing kids so fanatically from an early age. No wonder I dislike organised religion with a passion. Looked like a trailor for a film : when is it coming out if it hasn't already? Can you ...

Firstly, are you really George W Bush? Yes, I am really George W. Bush. I live in Craword, Texas, except when I am presidenting. Secondly, how am I am Islamophobe? All I'm saying is that people can practice what ever they want to, just as long as they don't think they can ram it down whoevers throa...

And as for calling atheists communists, that sounds like typical American intolerance to me Are you a product of the Canadian public school system? I did not say that all atheists are communists... I said that communists are atheists and that's a fact, jack. Those communists, who were also anti-rel...

Does 'Dubyah' really think he's the president of the USA or by some strange coincidence is it actually George Dubyah himself who is posting? Now that would be freaky.

The BNP is an odious, nasty party. Anyone who does their research on the Internet will find that out for themselves. Don't be fooled by their veneer of respectability. And if these new laws do come in, then hopefully they can be used on the Muslim extemists (who do their community no credit with sig...

I saw this when looking at the headlines in Sainsburys today. If it is indeed going on, I'm sure it has the full blessing of Tony Blair, spineless person that he is in his utterly unconditional, bend-over-backwards support for George Bush.

Personally, I have no time for ANY religion, full stop (or 'period', as you'd say over the other side of the Atlantic). Whether it's Islam, Judaism, Christianity etc, there will always be bigotry and intolerance somewhere. And I have to say as well that the few times I've been to a church of the ch...

For sheer numbers, Mandarin is a good second language but it will be difficult to latin-based languages as it is tonal. , in France I was addressed in English. Whether that was attempted politeness or hauteur I do not know. I insisted on speaking French even though my accent marked me as Canadian. ...

Intriguing story, this, I have to say. It kind of goes to show, perhaps, how close the two countries are without realising it although I hope that Canada will always be Canada and not become an American clone.
