Yet, several scientist don't agree on the same subjects, and come to different conclusions. Who fails? The way it works is that a hypothesis is tested and retested, Brenda. If a hypothsis doesn't fit the data it must be modified (you can see that in evolutionary theory if you compare what we have t...

I find that some aspects of it are still a lot fun...breaking a complex set of activities down into something 500-750 words long that a novice can understand isn't that different from trying to get an idea across in a few lines of dialogue. A lot of it is just drudgery though, just like any other jo...

See, religions, politics, and science are all three composed of people. Unless you wish to pose the hypothesis that scientists are a higher and more noble form of humanity than anyone else then this duck don't swim. Neither politics nor religion are bound by the scientific method though. That metho...

Resources belong to the provinces though. What I'd like to see is a provision where they get to keep the money if they can prove that money is going into economic diversification and job training, so when the oil patch goes bust again...and it always does eventually...there's something to fall back ...

Ah yes...I forgot that you are smarter than all the scientists, Sasquack.

By debunked I mean that the Ice Age talked about in the 70's was debunked. Certainly there will one day be another Ice Age and perhaps we are accelerating that as well, but that's not the short/midterm concern. The planet...with or without us...will have another ice age eventually. Something I like...

That's not the only argument though. Much more persuasive is the idea of using oil revenues to encourage economic diversity. The problem with that is the Alberta experience...almost all of the "diversity" is dependent on the oil patch under more careful scrutiny. The inflation caused by th...

Listen to how silly you sound: All the world's climate researchers got together wiht the socialists to pull the granddaddy of all hoaxes on humanity so that some profs could get a few extra bucks in research dollars. That's how I arrived at the PCP conclusion. It's not so different from watching so...

I just love, though, how you can, with a straight face, take potshots at science with the work of scientists and not see the enormity of the irony of it. Was it Carl Sagan who pointed out that we are almost completely scientifically illiterate, yet our world depends on science? This whole discussio...

True science has vanquished Mann's "hockey stick" Or, if you actually follow the science, a small analysis that was backed up by every credible scientist who examined it. The National Academy of Science...a group so respected that the author of the Oregon Petition chose to fraudulently gi...

Sasquack...please send me some of your drugs so I can have them analyzed. I've been out of that scene for a very long time, but I can still recognise the symptoms. That you've strayed from the organics and into the chemicals is obvious, but my curiousity...first developed in pool halls and beer parl...

So you have peer-reviewed science on your side?

Good...I'd hate to have to explain how I shredded my bib-alls on the belts of my walking tractor. Nothing pot and kettle though. The peer-reviewed science has been posted repeatedly, the response has been neither scientific nor peer-reviewed. Hell, most of it has been so laughable that it wouldn't e...

I suppose what will happen to the global warming deniers will be the same as what happened to the heliocentirst deniers adn the Darwinist deniers--they'll eventually fade to irrelevance. They show every sign of being just like the evolution deniers...they refuse to go away no matter how wrong scien...
