The War of 1812 isn't as relevant as World War 1 or 2 to Canadians or as "sexy" as the U.S. Civil or Napoleonic wars. Hopefully this promotion will help, although I'm not sure how lasting the effects will be. Odd to call two of the more brutal, bloodiest wars before WW1 'sexy' but I guess...

I seem to remember many Harper promises of an arctic deep water port, armed patrol vessels, some sort of tracking station to detect passage through the NWP and the like....where are those? From what I remember, the deep water port is years from being ready, the patrol vessels can't pass through the...

Well, first goal wins apparently as neither team seems great..some end to end action but more gooning than playing. Not as exciting for the amount of anticipation but I guess that is expected for two teams that seem 'alien' to each other.

I think I'd prefer Tampa to Boston as they have the weakest goaltending but more firepower than Boston. Kinda a toss up I guess.
