Thanos: this does look like a reserve. My job has me fly to reserves in northern Manitoba, and northwestern Ontario. Yes, they look like that. Furthermore, I volunteered all day every Friday at the Aboriginal Centre in Winnipeg from July 2010 through December 2019. Aboriginal people told me stories. |

Yesterday I travelled for work to Little Grand Rapids. It was +24°C, but the manager of the store insisted on blasting the truck air conditioning full blast. While waiting for the aircraft to arrive at the airport, I had to step out of the truck a couple times because it was so cold. I asked him how... |

Wearing makeup is in bad taste, but is not against the law. Police have committed a serious offence. Protest of any sort is guaranteed by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Even if his choice is stupid. If police didn't charge him with anything, then police are guilty of unlawful confinement. If th... |

Canada's federal debt is actually much larger than stated in the "Debt Clock". Directly from the Department of Finance, last year's budget (March 2019) as a PDF document, 5.78MB and 464 pages: Budget 2019 Search for the phrase "Summary Statement of Transactions". It'll show up in... |

Launch has been scrubbed over a lousy rain cloud. Seriously, WTF. Dragon is made of cardboard or rice paper? I honestly can't believe they cancelled it. Apollo 12 was struck by lightning. Twice. You know, something about flying a giant conductive piece of metal into a thunder cloud? Lightning cause... |

I have a question? Who should American Democrats have nominated? Many of my friends say Trump will be re-elected. That's already done. They were saying this before the police killing. Trump promised to take down the establishment, return power to average Americans. I didn't think he would; he is a b... |

David Lametti just contradicted the Prime Minister. Trudeau said there will be a buy-back, but Lametti said owners can "surrender" their firearm to police WITHOUT compensation. He also said there's an exception for indigenous people; they may continue to use firearms restricted under this ... |

Watching this morning's announcement... Bill Blair recognized citizen concern of militarization of police, but blamed that on militarization of society. That's blaming the victim! That cannot be excused. Police cannot be allowed to possess weapons of war. That means average police must not possess c... |

Ps. With this lockdown, there will be people who have difficulty getting food. Especially with the beef processing facility in Alberta closed, some fast food restaurants already have difficulty getting enough beef. So now is not the time to make hunting difficult. |

I expected the Rugar Mini-14. That's the weapon used at Polytechnique. Liberals said they want to ban "assault style weapons". My recommendation to them is to ban tactical version. The Rugar Mini-14 has 3 primary variants: tactical, ranch, and mini-thirty. My point is differences between t... |

In September 2018 the province of Manitoba wrote off the loan for the stadium. The province wrote off $118.7 million in August 2018, then $82 million in September 2018. My understanding is the Federal government contributed an equal amount. The article says the feds wrote off $200 million in Decembe... |
