Tricks Tricks:
Tesla doesn't have dealerships (unless that's changed recently).

They sell directly to the consumer. So no franchises to go under.

Ah, that makes sense then, thx

Strange deal, given current supply chain issues and demand. You'd think they'd keep their dealers up and running rather than corporate deals. Every car Hertz gets is one a dealer doesn't. Not good for business if your dealers have no inventory or go under.

Nice to see some folks finally waking up. Serious students of climate change have known this for years. This should have bveen on the senior policy makers table 20 years ago.

So many help wanted signs all over the place around here, and the restaurants are the hardest hit. Even the pharmacy was looking for someone to work in prescriptions... no experience needed and they will train you. Here as well. It's insane. At my work we've been running barely staffed since this t...

This is just starting. Britain is seeing it much worse right now, mostly due to their own Brexit dumbfuckery ("What?" cry the Brxiteers, "You never told us this would happen!"). Lots of empty shelves in the US right now and panicked normies googling "supply chain."

If it puts a dent in the endless consumerism and materialism as more people realize, as they're forced to actually be patient & wait instead of receiving instantaneous satisfaction, then that too is a good thing. It's one of our many moral & ethical disasters that've turned the planetary po...

A very American strike. Gig economy and other low wage workers didn't--or couldn't-- organize and unionize. They all made their own rational decisions, independently, to simply not go back to work.

When I worked at Gainers slaughterhouse, pigs were always the worst. They are smart, and know what it coming. :( Most accept their fate, but some choose the fight option. That is absolutely horrible, and why I don't each much meat. The 'one bad day' option is far preferable to the factory farm conc...

Yeah, shitty timing. Pure speculation, but the diesel storage systems at a lot of these remote communities are often pretty decrepit. ON top of the water issue, they could be looking at a massive amount of contaminated soil, if you have an old bulk storage system that's been leaking for a long time.

I've never really hunted, except for birds, but on the farm now, we have to slaughter animals. it's way harder than I thought it would be. The chickens and turkeys are easy, but I had a hard time with the killing of the pigs (they were a friend's pigs, actually, we were helping them out). There was ...

This is the issue with mens rea offences. Manslaughter, I believe, does not require culpability. I wonder that it's just making its way to the Supreme Court now--for all of history I imagine many horrible crimes have been perpetrated by people to wrecked to have any idea what they were doing.

Hard to kill as well. Zombie pigs are a thing. Had one a couple of weeks ago. The thing just wouldn't drop. and yeah, you don't want to get to close to a wild boar. Even a domestic boar.

The advent of the widespread surveillance---by the state and its citizens, revealed that people lie. A lot. And cops are people and they don't seem to lie any less. When I was involved in law enforcement, a cop's word was worth something in court because (a) he/she/2SLBGQQUI+ was considered an impar...
