Good morning fellow CKA'ers! SheppardsDog, we're you asking if I'd be back here on the CKA website or back in Parliament as in re-elected? I think this post answers the first(I haven't posted much on here for quite a while, as I'm sure you all understand, there's not much time, but I do check the si...

Hi Knight, welcome to the NDP! As I've told hundreds of people over the years. Membership is different for every person. Your involvement can be as little as just paying a membership right through the spectrum to running for office etc... If you choose to get involved more there are many options. I ...

I am constantly amazed and how much everyone tries to read into results. The Status Quo reigned but its supposed to be a huge change. Yesterday there was an article saying a seismic shift and support solidifying for the Libs when they dropped 3 points in the poll. ShepherdsDog says truth when he say...

most people have been saying congrats to me and condolences to my wife  I didn't play golf before or after. Its one of the few sports I haven't taken up yet. My wife and I did drive around in the back of a golf cart for a while for the photographs. Including a mock one of her chasing me with t...

No quotes on this response. I like where the conversation has gone overall (though I may still fight with OnTheIce later, but who knows :o Tax cuts should come with strings attached just like loans and grants to ensure that they serve the purpose for which they are designed. That's been the biggest ...

The corporations were given the tax breaks on the premise that the taxes were holding them back and stifling growth. If that were true they'd have spent the money. Instead they are holding the economy back by withholding the capital needed to boost it. As taxpayers we'd have been better off with th...

I've been and will continue keeping a very close eye on all the developments regarding this tragedy. Lac-Mégantic holds a very special place in my heart. Its where I spent many happy summers with my grandparents growing up (they no longer live there). Its where I learned to play baseball, picked up ...

let's not forget, after six measly years of 'service', they are eligible for that huge stinking pension of about 90 - 115 000 a year. Takes closer to 20 years or several years in cabinet to get up to that level. Contributions are rising to over $30k/year for all MPs. Another poster spoke about note...

Hydro bill, phone bill, cable bill.... The GST/HST portion of the bill went down, but did the bills go down? Oh and many of those same companies started changing customers $2 per paper bill (which gets charged GST/HST). In provinces where the HST was applied like Ontario, some goods and services li...

You're being disingenuous again. You and your party would love us to believe that this cut only affected the rich which is why you keep focusing on houses, cars and boats and ignoring all the other things that cost Canadians less due to this cut. What got cheaper? show us, tell us what other then b...

Now you're just being disingenuous. The GST cut reaches far more than those people who bought big ticket items. GST is charged on a whole lot of things which the average person buys. Poor people buy stuff too. I specifically said in my previous post that the 2% cut didn't lower the prices of everyd...
