Man, the T-34's are rolling up Liberal Berlin's main street! Cons 120, Libs 99, and we haven't even moved west of Thunder Bay yet! See you later Ruserious, Derby. A new age has dawned! A new age? We still have a government that won't get anything done. Harper "Woohoo 124 seats! Yeehah! Wait, that's...

I was hoping Don Graves for the conservatives to take mine but Chris Charlton for the NDP (my second choice although VERY VERY distant second) won it.
Anyone else think their new MP sucks?

First of all I want this thread NOT to be another left right flame war, remarks and comments on peoples post should not be the dumb one linerer posts that so many post. Would be best to just post your view. My thoughts... I am pretty happy with the outcome I guess. With polls the last couple weeks ...

The Cons are going to have to tread slowly on almost all those issues anyways because they have no natural allies in Parliament. The NDP doesn't have enough seats to help them, and using the Bloc will be suicide come the next election. That leaves the Libs and after such a nasty campaign, I don't se...

The thing that surprised me most was that the BQ lost seats! I don't think anyone predicted that. The Cons did even better than I expected too. I figured they pick up a seat or three, but 10?

I've read that parliamentary tradition (whatever that's worth) usually means the current government is given the first chance to form a government in a minority situation. I don't think it will make a difference this time because the Libs will lose seats in Quebec and I don't see them regaining them...

Just so eveyone knows, it is cows under 30 months for trade to the USA. For Japan, it is under 21 months... I ate beef yesterday and today and I'll eat it tomorrow. I'm not worried and I don't think that it will affect trade because our partners know that we've ramped up testing (70,000 or last year...

Did anyone else see this coming? I said so back (on the Macleans website) when the gov't almost fell over the budget. This time we'll likely get a minority Con gov't. If it can't work with the Bloc or NDP, we'll have another election that will cost another $250 or so million. The funny thing is if ...

I'm sure this check occurred in the last 5 minutes. If you check further you would realise that the Battle occurred in 1885, a full 20 years before either Alberta of Saskatchewan were entered into Confederation as provinces. Additionally, if you checked further the current provincial boundaries wer...
