I'll look into that book the next time I'm in Penticton. The sanctuary is 6km east of Princeton. It's a great place, with the rolling hills and interpretive signs for the types of plants in the area.

So it turns out there is a 57ha bird sanctuary just a few kilometres from town, complete with a small lake and a couple of blinds by the lake. Here's one of the birds I saw yesterday. More bad news than good has definitely been coming out from there, it seems.

Legebokoff has been charged with first degree murder, but his preliminary hearing is set for late this year or early next year, I believe.
