lily, do you support the last motion? That a person should face more than a simple assault charge on a pregnant woman if that assault results in the injury or miscarriage of an unborn child? Or additional charges if the murder of a pregnant woman results in the death of he unborn child? You kno...

Yeah, it would piss me off too. At least you left a note though, so the person shouldn't have trouble filing a claim with ICBC. Shouldn't being the operative word. I haven't left a note. I'm kind of at the point where I"m a little pissed at the attitude of the police. So far I've done all t...

I just witnessed a hit and run and the fucking cop tells me to leave a note on the trucks window, and thanks for calling. I read somewhere... probably Reader's Digest... about someone who came out to the parking lot to see a huge dent in the side of her car. As she stared in disbelief, she was re...

"The class-action lawsuit against B.C.'s attorney general and the B.C. College of Physicians and Surgeon claims the law discriminates against people who were conceived as a result of so-called gamete donation because, unlike for adopted children, records of their biological parents aren't kept." ...

Isn't that bridge almost done?

One thing I don't get with the Albion ferry is there's usually equal waits on either side, so why don't people just move to the other community?

It completely makes a difference. If the kid is running heavy machinery, then he's not pushing a broom... or at least, he's not being paid to push a broom.

But I don't think we're discussing the same issue here.

Brenda - a bulb of garlic can be separated into cloves.

You can grate a carrot into the sauce too. A green pepper adds flavour, but the red/yellow/orange ones are sweeter and add more vitamin C.

Child care worker. It would be a far more rewarding job.

That doesn't make sense. If the broom-pusher is also a heavy equipment operator and is being paid for those skills, then he isn't a "broom-pusher". He isn't being "paid for his skills", neither is the receptionist. He's being paid what the market will bear. In my above example...

I didn't say it was a valid reason. I just said those people wouldn't be happy about it.
I'm all for a bridge... I'd love to see the traffic spread out instead of clogging up my highway in spurts.

The Island people love their lifestyle, and think it would be ruined if they were connected to the mainland. Possibly it would be.

If the major routes disappeared because of a bridge, the cost of the smaller runs would have to increase or services cut - and those people wouldn't like that.
