Well - Ralph Klein makes a pretty bold statement - That this surplus is a one time opportunity so therefore we should have a one-time benefit. He recently said on the news that he could easily spread it out over social programs, etc, but our surplus might never come again, so what's the point?? And ...

Good one Marcarc!! (you pop up everywhere in this forum, dontcha?)

It seems to be a big debate here, but I just can't seem to relate Ernst Zundel with Civil Liberties and Privacy. Was he even an actual citizen of the country? I agree with Zeeboo and say I wish it didn't happ...

Hi Marcarc!

the funny thing about this thread is that if the guy hadn't been caught, he wouldn't have been on this forum to begin with crying in his cornflakes.

I have worked as a Security Officer, as well as a Loss Prevention Agent in previous jobs....

I am not believing some of the reactions to this thread!!!

It is not a big secret that most Big-Box chain stores like Walmart, Zellers, etc. always treat their employees like crap, right? I mean - what did Walmart DO in Montreal when they tried to start a union? They SHUT TH...

I think the speech is a little ominous - but living in a small town in Alberta, and seeing the effects the Oil and Gas Industry has had on this town - I think that getting back to the basics will be a welcome change.

I think the main reason why he says there will never be a Hydrogen economy is simply because our demand for energy outweighs the supply of that energy. Keep in mind too - that none of us have ever really lived in a O & G free society -- and by the time I think we all get desperate enough to abso...

I agree with the Internet Media comment... perfect example is the publication ban at the sponsorship scandal - You can't read about it in our newspapers - but you can go to some American website to read all about it...

HAHA - I SO agree - there is no real "newspaper" in this country...

I had a subscription to the Edmonton Sun a few years ago before I moved. It was a waste of time reading that paper. You wanna talk about a violation of Civil Liberties?? Try getting it cancelled?? At some po...

Honestly, I like the idea of being thrown back into the 1920's - ha ha. I agree with him when he talks about large retail chains like Walmart depend on cheap oil -- and the thought of a company like Walmart going down in the process makes me smile. I also believe that it'll be a big test on our soci...
