Hello RH and all. I'm just back to post a short note about something that happened yeaterday. My wife and I went down to the UN Cemetary here in Busan, S.Korea as a commeration to the Canadian soldiers who gave their lives. After looking at all the marked graves and reading In Flanders Fields, we...

I've always wanted to visit Saskatoon. I wasn't sure which forum to post this on. I selected this one because almost everyone seems to read it. I have to take a leave of absence for an undetermined period of time. My wife and family are upset with all the time I'm spending on the net. It has be...

Sorry, when I said labour costs are a problem, I didn't mean expenses. I was referring to the problems labourers are having with extremely low salaries, no benefits plus the fact that if they miss any time, for whatever reason, it is deducted.

Labour costs are one of the biggest problems. Wages are low and companies make a fortune off this. Just ask any Asian factory worker (and there are a lot in S.Korea). They are powerless to do anything about it.

Nice to hear from you Wheels and congrats on the medals that RHighlander mentioned. Most here on this forum are aware that I am a big Terry Fox fan. Wheel chair sports sound exciting and I would like to watch more. Do you think televising more games is a good idea?

OK, JM Jinks. So I think the next factor to consider would be the target group. In other words, who plays and what kind of league shouldit be? Children, pros, amateur, schools? This is just a stab in the dark and by no means, definite, but I would like to see more immigrant children involved in ...

I've played once and it is fun. Great exercise. Yes, it is Canada's official sport. Correct me if I'm wrong but years ago didn't the govt name hockey as the second official sport. I seem to recall lacrosse was official summer and hockey was official winter? :D

Overall it is probably safe but I don't know. I have heard mixed reactions. That's all I mean.

So many to choose from. Let me see. No, I won't say Terry Fox this time although he certainly does apply. But how about Rick Hansen? He not only wheeled around the world from '85-87, but he also started up a research centre to help people suffering from spinal injuries. What do you all think?
