Shep/Brenda: I'm another specimen who hasn't had a flu or cold in nearly 30 years. Luck? I don't think so. I purposely stay away from ingesting pills, serums, anti-virus this, anti-virus that. Last year my wife had a cold (or flu, not sure) for 4 months. She hacked and coughed daily. I didn't get so...

Still using my 1982 Tobacco Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Custom after buying it new back then. Haven't played a guitar to match it yet. The mohogany body sure does resonate well. Bought a PRS a few years back, Korean model. Not bad but still no match for the Paul. Got a Takimine acoustic that I may cut ...

Yes, we're in the oil business. Who says it's all about oil? Diversification...isn't that what you've been preaching? Hydroelectric Power, mining, fishery, aquaculture, farming... Although, now that you brought up oil. http://www.ogj.com/display_article/358768/120/ARTCL/none/ExplD/1/Flem...

On second thought, the easterners might not be back. Plenty of projects coming up back home. I guess Alberta will have to put those 60,000 immigrant workers on the oilsands payroll. I hear they're well trained. so why the hell has Dummy Williams been bitching if things are so rosy? Like any good pr...

And you wonder why there's seperatists in Alberta with a comment like that. I just chaulk it up to jelousy, what else could it be? The ROC thinks oil just spurts out of the ground like on the beverly hillbilly's show. Were a gas exporter right now,not oil. You're throwing around separtism and jealou...

Funny how Central Canada is willing to share in the resource winfall but doesn't want to send anything back when times are not so good. We will send them back their workers, then they will be a burden on their province. Not many understand that the majority of people working in Alberta's energy indu...

RUEZ RUEZ:
Funny how we're supposed to have sympathy for Ontario when their crappy auto sector hits the skids, but none for Alberta. Or sympathy for Newfoundland when they overfish themselves into unemployment.

I caught the Snakes & Arrow tour in Ottawa, Sept. 21, 2007. Absolutely mesmerizing. I have the ticket stub displayed proudly on my computer desk as a reminder of that wonderful night of music. Yes, the Les Paul Goldtop is a nice guitar. Used to own one. I traded it for a 1982 Tobacco Sunburst Le...
