Hi all members!
I am back from vacation and it was great I must say!
I went canoeing too and had a blast! My friend and I wanted to go into the deep ocean and get out of the bay to do some fishing, we tried to paddle in between these rocks/islands to get to the open ocean but the waves were to heavy we were even getting lifted off the air for a couple seconds and splashing into another oncoming wave. We had to turn back but we still wanted to go into the deep ocean. We paddled further into the bay to hopefully get around another island that led us to the open ocean but again the waves were to heavy. We had a struggle but we were able to turn back into the calm bay and our fast beating hearts.
However, we were drifting back into the open ocean again without knowing it! We had to turn left as fast as we could into shallow ocean before we made it in between the two rocks and into the wavy sea. It was so hard I was using all my strength to turn left and after a long time (at least it felt like a long time) we made the turn without entering the open ocean filled with waves. WHO SAID CANOEING WAS EASY?
We did some useless fishing in the bay for the hell of it and even though we did not catch any fish it was still relaxing.
The cottage also came with a warm fireplace, which was good to sit by and read a book or something.
Over all it was a kick ass vacation and I hope to do it again!
When I got back to the forum I read over the interesting new threads that were posted while I was gone and I found that a lot was happening in only a quick period of time!
And like I said I would bring a surprise to the forum and
here it is!
