Did no one else over the last years see this Bell thing as just a long con?

Same shit as "Do you want to donate to our charity?" bullshit at self checkout terminals.

Ultimately, do you really know how much money they take in, and how much they actually donate? It's just another cash stream and free tax break.

Bell also took a couple hundred million or so from the Covid relief fund and then immediately increased their dividend payout. Money that was intended to help with employees of businesses impacted by Covid was simply handed over to Bell's stockholders.

All this while a bunch of assholes who haven't been the least bit financially inconvenienced in the last year insist "we're all in this together".
