I need HID2 proxy cards at work with a certain facility code, and none exist in Alberta. I have been waiting since September for replacement. I'm being told it'll be after march.

Ships no longer sailing from Australia and New Zealand?
Been no frozen NZ lamb in the stores for over a year. Noticed it because even though I if I drive to my daughter's I will pass dozens of farms with sheep, they will not stock anything but Anzac lamb in the stores no matter what. BC's very own food people and all that, right Jimmy?
Starting to trickle back in in the last couple weeks, but because of [i]supply chain issues *] only rack of lamb available.

*read that as 'highest markup items'

I have a semi-regular customer who works for the Port of Vancouver who I have chatted with over the past year or so. A few months ago many port workers were laid off temporarily due to not being able to offload any of the many, many ships anchored out in English Bay (at one point he said there were about 40 of them). Why? No where to put the offload containers as the yard was full and not enough truckers to pick up the containers to forward them to wherever they needed to go (affecting many different products/industries). An ongoing battle that's been going on for many months now. Import items in my industry from Australia and New Zealand have been hit and miss for a long time. Same with anything from Europe or Asia.

Edit - I must add that import items from Europe,in particular, have gone up significantly in cost in the past month or so resulting in price increases on a retail level.

Protip: Those wonderful bumps in women's shirts also double as baby formula dispensers.

But it’s not that easy Doc. People are encouraged to stop after 6 weeks for lots of stupid reasons. Or or at least it was so when I was nursing mine. The number of people who told me it was easier to put them on formula. How all that can be easier is beyond me and it sure as hell isn’t cheaper. All that said it’s also not easy for everyone to nurse stress can effectively stop or decrease production. Not too mention some medical professionals questioning nursing as they can’t measure it. Number 2 was a premie I had a problem pumping so when they released him I was told I could only nurse every other feeding I had to use a bottle to gauge what he was getting. Fortunately we didn’t have problems with nipple confusion and he didn’t really like formula but the first few months were really hard. He had a weight check every week for months. It was pure determination on my part that got him off formula. The hospital and doctors were no help at all.

So yeah it’s more complicated than people would think.

I realize. And many women don't want to for body image reasons. And then there are the women who will pump for 2 years in order to donate to breast milk banks, for those who can't breast feed. I was adopted, so I'm a 100% formula baby.

I just think that a woman breastfeeding is one of the most beautiful sights in society, and if more women had that amazing bond with their children, then there would be more formula for those who choose or are not able to.
