If Quebec separates then that will fragment Canada and I imagine Alberta will probably seek statehood and maybe even Newfoundland & Labrador as they considered statehood during World War 2 before they joined Canada. That might start a domino effect where the rest of the provinces decide to go for statehood or independence.

I'd imagine the Democrats in the USA would spend a billion or more on propaganda to encourage Canadian provinces to join the states because there'd be twelve more Democrat Senators right at the start and maybe four more depending on what happens in Sask and Manitoba.

Ontario would not surprise me if it went independent.
