I personally find this Canadian border stuff complete and utter BS. I have a very negative visceral reaction as I enjoy going into Canadian towns and have found the folks up there very good and friendly decent people. This border BS is brought up because we don't have the balls to do what is necessary to secure the Mexican Border and it more politically attractive to Washington to Blame Canada to appear that they are really ding something. I'M sorry President O and Fox news we aren't that stupid.

What is really irritating is that Washington knows better.

Bush was an idiot, What does Obama want to prove that he can be a bigger asshole to Canada than W? He has succeeded, he is a bigger asshole and that took a lot of work.

Matter of taste I suppose. Personally I do not like Starbucks and would much rather drink Timmy's stuff. Haven't tried Dunkin' so cannot comment on that.

The POTUS is a temporary placement (just like assinine Canadian MP's that stomp US flags) and as such shouldn't be able to drive any permanent wedges between US and Canadian citizens.

No one in the U.S. is scared of Canada, even if Canada wasn't a staunch ally. The Americans are worried about how easy it is to cross the border. Combine that with the vast amount of coastline Canada has, and it would be quite simple to sneak something into Canada and then pass it over the border. The same couldn't happen in Mexico without the cartels knowing about it; they'd just shoot you.

Oh what bullshit. Like you guys don't have a vast amount of coastline Like we don't get illegals sneaking across from the US into Canada Like we don't get a shitload of illegal weapons from the US coming into Canada.

Starbuck's is better coffee. Dunkin' and Timmie's coffee are equally unpalatable to me. Hate to say, I'm not all that keen on Timmie's doughnuts anymore since they went to serving thawed frozen doughnuts like Starbuck's sells.

My joke in the USA is that if I want a good, old fashioned American donut then I'm going to a place run by a French-trained Vietnamese baker who doesn't speak any English!

No foolin', the Vietnamese make the best damned donuts!

The US/Canadian border is a bigger threat than the US/Mexico border? Seriously? Please... how many people are being shot around this one? Are they just trying to divert everyone's attention to the north so that the reality of what's happening in Mexico isn't front-page news anymore?

As far as not sharing "no fly" lists... I was under the impression that this became mandatory long time ago. Perhaps I'm mistaken about this though.

As usual, the border discussion is totally laughable IMHO - US Customs can stop the illegal importation of those deadly Kinder Eggs, but can't stop a terrorist or two?

Whatever...I guess it's time to build that pipeline from Edmonton to Prince Rupert and sell our oil to Asia instead of the US. Given that the market over there is five times larger than the US and we have a multi-racial population, it's just a matter of time before we look in that direction anyways. Might as well be sooner rather than later.

Amen to that - Timmy's frozen donuts have saved me thousands of calories in the past five or six years since they switched.

If I want a donut (and I usually don't), I'll stop at a local bakery (or even a grocery store) and get one there instead.
