EyeBrock EyeBrock:
Actually Bart I checked out the thread Greg started on coming back from Japan and I see why he got so 'anti' with clogeroo.

Very silly comments made by Clogeroo.

Clogeroo is a pretty good kid, for the most part, and I hope he takes the initiative to learn more on the subject he was soap boxing.

I cannot at all fault his patriotism and love of Canada, though. His concern for his country is right on but he needs to temper that with an understanding of the rest of the world.

I like talking to Mericans, they are polite and well informed about Canada that and the fact they are our number 1 Ally. I give the Mericans a high five for spending time with us and putting up with all the anti-Bush crappola. Sorry about Bush fellas, I think he's kinda cute like Elmo not tickle me Elmo thou.

I love how we call them "'mericans". We like to skip the vowel if it's at the begining of the word.

Like "'nough" or "'bout" (sometimes pronounced "'boat", which I noticed I do often,)

I find Bush funny. He's said the most priceless stuff. Of course, he wouldn't last a day as a comedian.

I noticed that he sometimes talks Canadian. Ever hear someone say "Nucular"?

How about hearing someone say "on" instead of "in"?

He has liek, tons of quotes. Like "This would be alot easier if this were a dictatorship, just as long as I'm the dictator" and "Is our children learning?".

Oh, but my favourite one of all time is:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

they way I look at it was freedom was won at a price... don't dishonor anyone.. An american should have a right to vocalize things in Canada just as a Canadian should be allowed to be Vocal within the US.
Now shut the hell up and quit bothering me... LOL..

Obviously everyone has an opinion and if stated in a concise, professional manner then it would be a valid point in a discussion.

BUT,,

WE JUST WOULDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE AMERICANS.

LOL, when I lived in Victoria clients would ask me where I was from and I'd say NS and they would say but you don't sound like a Maritimer. I don't have an accent vocally just in the written word. I'm often asked if I'm an American, in the East we are raised to fear people from Torona and I haven't got a clue as to why.

What bothers me more than anything else is the viciousness with which some Canadians make statements about America. Okay, we're not perfect, and it's okay to have an opinion. But I see some pure hate in some of the insults, and rhetorical one-liners that don't even contain any truth. Calling Bush a moron, is a Democrat talking point and every American who see that knows it. Be a Canadian, not a Democrat. I don't know anyone personally that hates Canada, but most of the derrogatory statements are made in defense against Canadian Anti-Americanism. We stood up to British tyranny in the 18th century, and that is our way. Love us, hate us or whatever....that is a characteristic of Americans. I think that's why we became a super power, to try and stop the tyranny against innocent people. I'm sure most Canadians support that basic philosophy.
