It would seem that a truly balanced news service is considered rightwing bias by the lefties. What they call balanced is what the AGW/KYOTO/IPCC call "science". Anything which presents anything other than a one-sided left wing/LIBRANO view is considered biased hence verboten.

$1:
The Channel is the #1 cable news channel in the United States raking in more viewers then CNN, CNN Headline News, and MSNBC combined. The channel also holds the #1 cable news show in the United States called The O'Reilly Factor.

FOX News Channel also holds pretty much almost the entire top 10 cable news channels with:

The O'Reilly Factor
Hannity & Colmes
On the Record with Greta van Susteren
The FOX Report with Shepard Smith
Hannity's America (Sunday Special)
FOX News Morning Live
Your World with Niel Cavuto

The only other entries from the other networks are:

Larry King Live
Anderson Cooper 360

During the State of the Union, the FOX News Channel actually raked in more viewers than the broadcast networks with over 7.5 million.

The channel is pointed out to have Republican, and Conservative bias.

Others point out that it gives a fair shot to the Republican and Conservative viewpoint in America and also point to the Liberal media that dominates the other media outlets in America and FNC "filling the void"

Also the controversial Bill O'Reilly is against the death penalty making that a surprise to many skeptics that point fingers at him.

Fair & Balanced is seen as a fair description because it offers a fair analysis of the Republican/Conservative view point along with a Democratic and Liberal view point with such commentators as Kristen Powers and Allan Comes.

I just moved back home for two weeks and I finally have Glenn Beck again, that's my favorite news show. I couldn't get it in Sudbury, I'm so glad I'm back home now. Glenn Beck is the man, I don't necessarily agree with everything he says but he's a great host and he brings good issues.

I get CNN International, BBC World and CCTV (China) English news broadcasts. I also watch The National on line. I used to get Fox as part of my news channels package on Bell but I switched to MTS Digital when I was back home.

Once again, in Canada, you can only get FOX News on satellite or DIGITAL cable.

It was never granted an analog license.

The liberal left in Canada have locked the channel out till 2004

They kept it out for 8 years! 8O

the channel does very well.

I watch The O'Reilly factor daily.

Its a good dose of reality of the Liberal left in America.

We don't need no stinking News Channel that purposely adds a Bias. At least more Traditional news sources attempt balance.

Fox News is the ONLY channel that has a far left commentator opposite a right wing commentator.

Hannity and Colmes.

Most interviews include one good guy and and one bad guy. You will never see Mansbridge sharing the news with a center or right winger.

1 Left Wing commentator "balances" the rest of the channels? Must be a great guy. CNN had Crossfire with a similar setup, until John Stewart embarrassed them and showed just how stupid Left vs Right Comentary shows are a waste of time and not "News".

You also falsely assume Peter Mansbridge is Left Wing and that he purposely promotes a Left Wing agenda. He might be "Left Wing", but that's not the issue. He reports the News as unbiased as possible and seeks comments from a wide variety of sources when doing a panel discussion.

It's a POS channel with an agenda. If you can't see that you're one of them (LIBERALS)

Except that its an obvious mismatch. Colmes is there because he's squirrelly little pussy.

When tools like Hannity actually go toe to toe with someone who can argue effectively, then you see that he's nothing without his bully pulpit.

Tricks Tricks:
Fox is the CBC of America.

Fox News, a cable network, has repeatedly trounced the three broadcast network news programs in ratings over the last few years.

Regardless of what any detractors of Fox have to say, they certainly are popular.
