Rofl, its the states. they are in debt about 9 trillion dollars because of the republican government don't believe then Google us debt clock this is the real thing. the people who made it are concerned that they are running out of room for more numbers (not the fact that they are in debt close to 10 trillion dollars)

its tough to say but there is going to be another great depression and tons of people are going to die and that will decrease the world population reducing world hunger. And hey there might be another world war but this one will be fought over oil food and land most likely the U.S. will start it out of desperation to survive and this will develop allot of technology just like in WW2. There will be war and chaos and famine but then.....this all can never happen all this oil shortage can be an excuse from oil companies to jack up their prices, the food shortage can be a byproduct that conspiracy theorist's came up with global warming is another factor it will be a different world for us and our children and our grandchildren. But what ever the future holds its havoc one way or another.

Famine isn't caused by overpopulation - it's caused by people not being able (for whatever reason) to produce food.

Famine is a shortage of food, so to say that a shortage of food is caused by a shortage of food isn't a worthwhile statement. The reason you alluded to in saying "for whatever reason" - that's what's important.

Overpopulation, government and/or economics instability, climate effects, poor conservation practices - these things among others cause famine, not a shortage of food production.

There is also the problem of food distribution. Even if you have the food, if you haven't got the means to get it to the people then there will be shortages and starvation.

Right - which is still more of an organizational problem than a quantity problem.

It's kind of like trying to argue that the cause of poverty is a lack of money - at face value people might not question that logic, but it completely misses the underlying causes and tends to make people think the solution is injecting more money (or food, in the case of famine) into the system.
