I don't think there's anything wrong with questioning their actions. But it has to be done in a respectful manner and there has to be a realization that at some point they may not wish to discuss it anymore. It really is kind of like parents and I for one am glad they're here. As others have said, the fun of a place like this disappears quite quickly if it devolves into constant flame wars.

On this point, again, we may feel it's unfair based on what we know. Usually, we don't know the whole story. So it's unfair of us to question the mods actions. We have to trust that they're acting responsibly and in the best interest of the site, based on the full set of facts.

I don't believe it is unfair to question the mods actions at all. One can querey with respect. I've seen several examples of some members getting away with some over the top stuff while others will regularly get a warning or Mod Edit. Questioning that might explain away the perceptual concern or confirm it.

Let's remember, the Mods are indeed doing a Herculean task, but they are in the end, still human and can be fallable.
