I just watched a show on cbc newsworld called au courant and talked about what's going on in french Canada. Who ever thought of that idea thought of a good idea. I liked the show and you get to see what's going on in Quebec. <br /> <br /> Second, we need a canadian cnn. We need more english canadian channels not american ones. I was watching 'tout le monde en parle' on radio- canada and the heritage minister was on and she spoke the truth that it's much easier for Quebecers to hold on to there culture because no one is trying to invade it unlike Canada. We have so much American media are shows simply get drowned out. I hope to death the NDP runs a different campaign next election. They need to focus on this country and that it is quickly becoming a country with a name and a nice place to live in and that's it. I can't stand Paul Martin his funding for the arts is seriously the worst in the western world. If someone like Tony Blair were in charge on Canada he would be spending 3 billion dollars on the CBC alone!!! Imagine what are shows would be like with that kind of funding!

I totally agree Dino, but I think the CBC would be a lot more successful even on the budget it has if it was governed like the BBC. I mean, they totally got rid of patronage and actually made their public broadcasting corporation independent and strong.
