Just exactly how historic is the demolishment of Sadams statue?

It gives the impression that a long , drawn out , hardly - fought war over a seemingly undefeatable foe had been won , and , a - oh wait , Sorry - I was talking about World War Two . Anyway , Saddam's statue coming down gives us Americans closure and justifies our going to war , for the Iraqis it means they have a new government. Time will tell , if they have statues someday to honor their new rulers.

the topling of any dictator has some kind of greatness in it. sure saddam wasn't tht hard to get ride of i wonder if the washington monument might mean tht someday?

not the US is a dictatorship now.
