I was at work the other day emptying some coins from rolls into our till when I stopped to ponder several of our currency notes, and came up with an interesting question: Does John A. MacDonald, one of our founding fathers and first Prime Minister belong on the $10 dollar bill, or should he be on a higher note?
While Borden and W.L. Mackenzie King were both awesome in their times as Prime Ministers, one would think that MacDonald would occupy the 100 dollar bill. However, as the 10 dollar bill is one of the most common, perhaps that is why MacDonald is where he is. I also have no problem with the Queen on the 20, seeing as how she is our head of state.
I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts on this

I think McDonald on a lower denomination means he gets seen more often, and therefore is more in the public eye. I prefer the more 'important' Prime Ministers and heads of State on the lower denominations.
I can't say the last time I used a $100 bill for anything. But $5, $10 and $20 I use all the time.
I don't even remember the $1,000 or $10,000, it's been so long. But I think we should have a $500, like in Europe. Michael Jean should be on it.
