The Edmonton Swastikas hockey team. This and another female team from Fernie were some of the earliest female teams in Canada. The Edmonton team, formed in 1916 and the fernie team in 1922. Interesting that in one generation this symbol would be almost solely associated(in the West) with one of the most evil regimes ever elected...or for that matter, to have ever existed on earth.

The Birth Place of Ice Hockey was Winston, Nova Scotia, Canada. In the beginning of the 19th Century, when the Swastika symbol was still know and used for good purposes, a few Ice Hockey teams called them self the Swastika or used this symbol as their logo.

???? both Winston and Windsor are mentioned in the article, so make your own choice.
