Wow..this topic jumped in posts.

Could be the age talking, not so certain. Given the increase in patriotic feelings, us as Canadians have never really done that too much in the past, over the last 10 years; I thought the old slogan was still effective and contemporary. It still made a pitch to the Canadiana, and gave rise to the patriotic part. I would think this help to increase sales.

Oh well. As several have commented, things do change, I just hate it when they do.

CJ

PS - First beer was Canadian. Still drinking the stuff when I can afford it, but have settled for the lower quality, although still good, Black Label. Another good M brand. :)

Noo! I hate the new slogan! It's just not Canadian enough, eh? It's like...something totally different...it could've been like...Ah...Canadian...or anything, but "It starts here..." :? Oh well...

and by the way, New York dude, Coors did NOT buy Moslon! Coors can kiss my arse! give me proof and I'll send myself to my bedroom for acting so vicious.

I'll be honest. I haven't actually tried beer yet, because I'm underage and can't get my hands on it. But I did love the "I Am Canadian" commercials. This one is ok, The "It starts here" one, but it doesn't feel right.

Ahhh..i will miss the zingers in the old ads. Nothing wrong with a new slogan but I would have to see a commercial first. I get a kick out of some of the commercials out there, especially the Geico ones.

Killers.

Do you get the Geico commercials up there?

Word to the wise: Don't play the drinking game millenia using vodka or Molson 6.0 cold shots. I speak from experience  .

As long as they don't start to water down the content we'll be ok
Does this mean that all my I AM CANADIAN collectablesare now worth money?

I don't drink, and I'm 19, but the only time I did it was Canadian. I think the non-drinking factor is why this is the first time I have heard that Molson and Coors merged. I don't follow them at all, but I would have thought Molson was rolling around in revenue... It seems like everyone drinks their stuff... Oh well, surprising, but it doesn't effect me too much. I admit the commercials were pretty good.
