14. Our civil war was fought in a bar and it lasted a little over an
hour.

15. The only person who was arrested in our civil war was an
American mercenary, who slept in and missed the whole thing... but showed up just in time to get caught.

I believe you are referring to the Rebellions of 1837. These to points are misleading as they only deal with one of the two rebellions that occured that year (the smaller, less successful one in Upper Canada). However there was a larger and much more violent uprising in Lower Canada and lasted several weeks. Well both these rebellions where crushed they did pave the way for Confederation.

The Red River Rebellion (1869 I believe) is a little iffy. Since it was the Metis one could say it was the native inhabitants rising up against a foriegn power ie. us. But you could also look at it as a civil war. An argument might also be made that the Northwest Rebellion (1885) was also a civil war but thats stretching it.

My original point was that our "civil war" lasted alot longer then an hour.

Nice of you to write louis Riel off so easily, Pole. Too bad your grasp of history is so dim...you should likely take a trip outside of Ontario at least once in your life. you might learn something.

Blair shut the fuck up. Where the hell did I right Riel off? I was refering to calling the Red River Rebellion as a civil war. As for being outside of Ontario, I have been. Get your head out of your ass.

A little iffy? Come on out...I'll take you to a bar full of Metis people and tell them you said that. Riel is a hero around here. Rightly so. History didn';t end where it was convenient for you, Pole. Sorry 'bout that.

Typical leftie. Always trying to confuse the issue for your own gain. I'll say it again since you seem to have trouble reading. I was refering to calling it a rebellion or civil war. No where did I knock it's importance in Canadian history.

What the hell are you talking about? Are we even talking about the same thing? Just so your clear from the begging I've been talking about word use ie. rebellion or civil war. You seem to be off in your own little world.
