Generally I'm fairly solidly center left leaning farther left on some issues and a bit to the right on others but not many.

Canadian_Mind Canadian_Mind: Tests say I'm left, and personally I see a lot of right wing tendencies in me. Looking back on it, I'm sticking with my original self-assesment, I'm neither centre, right, or left. I'm all encompassing, I base my opinions on what makes sense to me, and I let it fall into whichever political spectrum it may. Same here. There's no box ya can fit me in!

There is always a danger when you start identifying yourself like this... I'm left/right, Conservative/Liberal, Catholic/Muslim or Leo/Cancer. You may start to change how you think or who you are to fit that box you've chosen.
I think that's how someone becomes an extremist.

I think that's how someone becomes an extremist. If you're an extremist at both extremes, does that make you a centrist? Bad Economist Joke #312: Two economists, Jerry and Pete, decide they want to learn how to hunt moose. So they drive up 4 hours north of Sudbury and hire a hunting guide to show them how to hunt. He takes them out to the range to practise shooting, teaches them gun safety, etc. Then, out to the bush they go. Eventually they come across a trophy cow. The guide says "Okay, boys, now's your chance to make your dreams come true." Jerry shoulders his rifle and KA-BOOM! He blows down a tree 10 metres to the left of the moose. The moose freezes. Pete raises his rifle, sights her in and KA-BOOM! He misses the animal by 10 metres to the right. The two economists look at each other, then throw down their weapons and start high-fiving, hugging and cheering one another. The guide interrupts "What the fuck are you two morons cheering about? That's the worst shooting I've ever seen." Jerry explains "Well, I missed her by 10 metres to the left and Pete missed her by 10 metres to the right...we killed her on average."

Lemmy Lemmy: What’s that theory in particle physics that says an electron can be in two places at once? String theory. But I can show you actual pictures of a single photon that is in many places at once. Quite cool! I'm with him ^. Right in some places, left in others. But why take a guess? Take a test! http://www.politicalcompass.org/

DrCaleb DrCaleb: I'm kinda appalled... $1: Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races. Seriously? I didn't finish it. Simply because the questions asked do not necessarily have an "agree or disagree" answer. Paraphrase: "It is sad that something basic as drinking water is bottled" Agree or disagree. Huh? I am sorry, but drinking water ALSO comes just from the tap.

right wing, left shot, good on draws in a pinch, but lacking the discipline for defense.
dr. caleb's test says me and Gandhi see things about the same.

Interesting, far more left that I would have expected and more libertarian.

I'd say I'm centre/left - I'm a a strong supporter of the Canadian Forces and want smaller government with better fiscal controls, but I also support social programs like OAS/CPP/EI, universal health care, public education, progressive taxation, corporations regulated to some extent. I don't know if criminals can be rehabilitated but I'm against the death penalty, and I support women's right to choose and same-sex marriages. To top it off, I'm willing to pay higher taxes to get all of that.
According to Dr.Caleb's test, I'm a socialist libertarian (like Gandhi apparently).
