I grew up there. It's a cool place. Where else can you manage to a long-haired socialist red-neck? Where else has big, friendly ditches? Where else can they fool you into thinking you're a kid playing when actually you're working like a man? Where else can you learn to drive when you turn eight then spend eight years looking for cops in the mirror?
It might be neglected and much maligned province, but without Saskatchewan where would be? Healthcare came from there. Al Capone smuggled whiskey through Moose Jaw. The closest thing we ever had to civil war happened mostly on Saskatchewan's soil.
I might live in Manitoba, but that's an accident. I moved here to go to school and ended up married. I have every intention of going back to the best province in Canada to live someday.
