Any former or serving military here?? I know there were a few here a while back, but a member who I enjoyed talking to hasnt been around for a while, possibly due to the events of 9/11, but I wish hed drop us a line to let us know hes ok... Any topic about the military is welcome... EXCEPT any kind of bashing what so ever.. LEts keep this to topics and hopefully get some vets in here....

Yes, I'm an ex-grunt. My brother-in-law is right now en-route to the floundering sub being towed back to port as a part of the replacement crew. They had 8 meter seas to contend with and a senseless loss.

One student of mine said that another one had died. I'm glad he was wrong.
Am the CC130 Hercules Loadmaster Leader with 413 (T&R) Sqn in Greenwood engaged in the Search & Rescue role for the eastern region of Canada. Have done the Tactical and Advanced Tactical role in Trenton on the Herc as well and performed those roles in many hostile environments overseas.
Have completed 21yrs or service and still going strong. Love the valley and hope to one day retire here. Feel free to chat or send me an email.

I'm just in cadets now but I've picked up my forms for the CF and once I get in shape I'm applying as a recce in the Fort Garry Horse armoured reserve so assuming I don't say something dumb I'll be ok, atleast I don't need to worry about failing the CFAT.

You probably know the sister of Brian Dolph, the guy I write songs with, Gilda Dolph. She's a loadmaster and getting pretty high up there in the forces.
