Do we get any details? When is this wedding? How long have you been together? Can we all come?

Hmmmmm I may have some 78's that have a tune you can use. I think they're by the 8-tracks. 8O

Smiles, you're a sweetheart. Tam and I have been together for almost 8 years now. I asked her to marry me in a very Manitoban fashion. We were out camping, sitting around the fire and it started to rain a little. I stepped into the car to zip up the windows and called her over. When she got to the car, i had the ring in my hand. We were both soaking wet and wet and she said yes! It's all gravy from there. The wedding is this October. I'm a fall guy.

Thank you for the sweetheart comment. :)

She looks wonderful and so do you. Conrats on the big day, enjoy it.

We were married just over 1 year ago and the best advice we got about the big day was to take some time at the reception and sit back, just the two of you, and watch everyone around you. All of these people are there for you and it is amazing to just sit back and watch all of the fun they are having.

Enjoy the big day!! Congrats!! :)

So did you pick a song for "the" song?

I was listening to my hip, specificaly those 2 albums. Hmmm i really really love the hip there almost tied for my favorite band ever with U2 and Pink Floyd. But there lyrics just dont seem to fit a wedding, when i look at the lyrics nothing really seems to fit, besides of course "Long Time Running" a bit and is one of the few songs with a melo tempo from those 2 albums.

We were discussing the same thing last night. We really like that song, and we have been to gether a LONG time, but what does that song really mean?

Does your mother tell you things?
Long, long when IÂ’m gone?
Who you talking to?
Is she telling you I'm the one?
It's a grave mistake And I'm wide awake

Drive-In's rained out
Weatherman wet-fingers the sky
He pokes it out, he pulls it in
He don't know why
It's the same mistake

It's been a long time running
It's been a long time coming
It's well worth the wait

We don't go anywhere,
Just on trips
We haven't seen a thing
We still don't know where it is
It's a safe mistake

It's been a long time running
It's been a long time coming

Well, well it's all the same mistake
Dead to rights and wide awake
I'll drop a caribou, I'll tell on you,
I'll tell on you, I'll tell on you.

You've got a boat-load o'nerve
But I would say you've been told
You work me against my friends
And you'll get left out in the cold
It's the same mistake

It's been a long time running
It's been a long time coming
It's been a long, long, Long time running
It's well worth the wait

Anyone who fancys themselves as a poetry professional, say a master of metaphors, let me know what you think...

I would also love to know what "Drop a caribou" means.

An offering from SAGA... Click Here to Watch The "Always There" Video (.RM)

Always There (Taken from: House of Cards - 2001)

I'm not sure but I've been told
The winds of change blow hot and cold
I've had my share of ups and downs
You would just send in the clowns
Hovering like a satellite
You covered me both day and night
You can see the shape I'm in
It's no wonder why I wear this grin
I'm still here because of you

You got me through it when I was spent
You were always there, you were always there
It's no mistake you were heaven sent
You were always there, you were always there

If life's a blend of light and shade
That must mean I've got it made
There's something that I can't replace
The way it feels, face to face
The memory's there, night and day
Far too strong to fade away
You were there right from the start
Found a way into my heart

I'm still here because of you

You got me through it when I was spent
You were always there, you were always there
It's no mistake you were heaven sent
You were always there, you were always there
And you will be with me till the end
You were always there, you were always there

I'm still here because of you

You got me through it when I was spent
You were always there, you were always there
It's no mistake you were heaven sent
You were always there, you were always there
Now I no this was no accident
You were always there, you were always there
And you will be with me 'till the end
You were always there, you were always there

HURT NIN on a $12,000 systen, NOT surround sound shit. That was my first marriage in '83. When I hear Trent Reznor say "I will make you hurt", I knew that bitch heard it way before me! Nice photo Wheats, still freaking over the Cadillac sixteen photos you posted. Wish you the best, I'm a fall guy too, only for different reasons! How do you say nice fiance, politely? SS

Hmmm, being an old rocker I'd go for something by The Guess Who, or maybe April Wine if it had to be a Canuckie thing.

Have you seen Randy Bachman lately? He's all skinny. I hear he had stomach surgery. Looks good.
