What I want to know is:

Who proposes to who and who gets the engagement ring?

It's crap. It's been obvious for too long that the wishes of the Liberals are much more important than the wishes of Canadians. It's telling in you're arguments that anti-liberal becomes the same as anti-Canadian.

Gee. I have no idea what my MP did because he's sick with cancer. I've asked if his staff would update his website, or send out a newsletter but the only time we've heard from him is when he said he says he polled us what we thought about the budget vote. My MP is Cadman, and at this rate, I'd rather have Grewal as MP.

Lets poll every single Canadian. The Majority would support it. Give it up.

Do you watch the news at all? political shows? or just the liberal website? Last time i saw it was split 50/50 at best. Some people were asking for a referendum on same sex but they wont give them it because it wouldnt get pasted.

It doesn't matter what the polls say or what peoples opinions or beliefs are. It a matter of rights and giving everyone in the nation the same rights.

The MPs that voted NO tried to prevent gay Canadians from having the same rights as straight Canadians.

That's all I needed to see to know I needn't bother going any further.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head there. I guess she's writing for the National Post now? Sheesh, that paper has slid. I'll give her this -- she has an uncanny ability to be arrogant and whiny at the same time.

Slid, much to your dismay it's going uphill to what the Star pastes for the Government.

Another Genious move by the Liberals the Kyoto Accord. Rather than target smog and real pollution in our water, land and air, they will spend hundreds of millions buying hot air credits from countries with far worse environmental records than ares.

Then theres Gun Control what a joke. There lucky most Liberal voters do not know anything about guns, or the Kyoto accord.. Theres alot more but i gotta go

52% say there is nothing morally wrong with homosexuality

57% say that homosexual marriage does not threaten the institution of marriage

65% say homosexual couples should be treated the same as heterosexual couples

From: http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2003/09/04/samesexpoll030904

This poll is done over a large time period but still shows greater then 50% approve or don't care if they get married.

http://www.religioustolerance.org/homssmpoll04.htm

I'm sure we could easily find loads of polls that show both sides if we wanted.

Granting gay marriage rights does not infringe on religious rights. Get it? I will back any church, temple or synogogue the absolute right to refuse to marry people who don't practice their faith but I will also defend the rights of homosexuals to enter into a binding marriage as equals to any other couple in Canada.

Yeah like the age of consent being 14 YO, I’m glad the Liberals like the fact a 40 YO perv can twist the brain of a 14 YO kid to do anything he wants and the parents have no say.

Another “Way to go Liberals” [?]

Guess they dont care how the population #'s rise as long as they do  Yeah when i was going to school a girl failed once and when she was in grade 7 she was with some 40+ year old guy since she was 14 it was ok! i think alot of people dont think about what grade that is! you should be in what grade 8 when your 14?

And then look at laws when someone does break it, It takes something like 2 years+ some times for police to get a good enough case on a petaphile. One i saw was open and shut case he admited to it the biy came forward, it took 2 years to get enough info. then the guy got a year or two and ended up serving 2 months!!!! thats f*cked

The problem is we dont put enough presure for changes. It would be nice if the Libs cared about the people enough to start taking care of real problems.

Actually both sides could argue they have the support of the majority because it's a three way split in opinion. 1/3 supporting, 1/3 strongly against and the other 1/3 doesn't give a shit either way, just stop bothering us.

The People wanted it. The People got it. End of story wackjob.

That has to be the most glaringly ignorant statement I have ever read on this board.

Grow up.

I'll admit after finding this i dont have a problem with it now

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_C-250

$1:
(2) Every one who, by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, wilfully promotes hatred against any identifiable group is guilty of

(a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or
(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.

(3) No person shall be convicted of an offence under subsection (2)

(a) if he establishes that the statements communicated were true;
(b) if, in good faith, the person expressed or attempted to establish by an argument an opinion on a religious subject or an opinion based on a belief in a religious text;
(c) if the statements were relevant to any subject of public interest, the discussion of which was for the public benefit, and if on reasonable grounds he believed them to be true; or
(d) if, in good faith, he intended to point out, for the purpose of removal, matters producing or tending to produce feelings of hatred toward an identifiable group in Canada...

And just how is it "glaringly ignorant"? Ignorant is ignoring the rights of others because you don't personally agree with them. Grow up.
