Donny_Brasco Donny_Brasco:
PENATRATOR PENATRATOR:
I don't really think it was a good thing, but that goes with the times, none of us were here then so I am not saying I am sorry for it, same with all the first nations crap, I was not around so I owe nobody anything!

Well I guess we should all just ignoring laws because PENATRATOR says it is ok to do so.

Get a clue idiot.

Do you realize the legal precident Canada would set if they could get away with stealing people's money, possessions and land?

The laws we built in this country allow us to function as a democracy in a free market today. If we pick and choose who these laws apply to based on history and ethnicity then idiots like you would never be able to get a car loan or a mortgage because you could legally argue that you wouldn't have to pay for it after a few years...

Because someone else could walk in and steal everything you own and do so legally.

speeding laws were written before you were around, does that mean yu don't have to obey them too? I'd like to see you try to argue that in traffic court.

Idiot? hahaha Maybe reread what I said there chief. I owe nobody anything for something that happened before I was born. I have very good friends from Germany ( [drool] yet I do not blame them for the Death of my great uncle in the first world war, know why? THEY WERE NOT THERE. Blow it out your ear Tonto!

That was paid off long ago . So many people were profiting from the war through manufacturing and other types of industry the government hit on a great idea, unfortunately it was supposed to be halted after the war. The Govt just enjoys the cash cow and decided to hang on to the idea. Nobody ever said they were dumb.

the fact that he wasn't tossed out of his party and charged with hate crimes is just as much of a racial slur as what he said. If it had been anybody else but the Japanese he denigrated he would have been, and if it had been the Jews it would have gone double. What we have here is a double, maybe even triple standard.

Odd politics by the NDP. I thought you were supposed to be shocked an appaulled like the Liberals. ...

Ah but what Jack Layton wants to avoid is the leftish Liberal voters running back to Martin because of the scary Conservatives.

Not meant that way I am sure Lily, I think he means (certainly my thoughts are) because of the atrocities they have gone through and continued crap they seem to face (I am unsure as to why) they seem to be the cultural group who is "front and centre". and prepared to stand up for themselves.

At the end of the day the Japanese committed horrendous atrocities against allied prisoners of war. It should not be forgotten. Fletcher was right, he should have reworded it in our politically correct universe.

Maybe he could have said something about fluffy bunny rabbits or how Canada now accepts war criminals from all over.

The Nazi's and Imperial Japanese forces (to a lesser extent the Italian Fascists) routinely committed atrocious acts against POW's and Fletcher pointed that out.

He apologised for offending all you bleeding hearts who like the truth sugar coated. Stop whining.

Like I said earlier people would rather train their mp's to be full of shit and talk out their respective asses then just say it like it is/was.

Didn't anyone tell you "Sticks and stones may......."

grow up already.

The link that didn't work Lily was saying that Canada admitted wrong doing and handed out cash and apologies. The link also stated poor living conditions but nobody was ever used for bayonet practice in fact some Japanese were recruited by the Brits but then fought with Canadian uniforms.
