Chantal Hebert is a very intelligent leftist. I agree with many of her ideas...The best writer in the Toronto Star. :D

I'll be the first to applaud King Ralph if he sorts out a better way; you'll have to forgive the usual apprhension for privatization...too often it's been a not-so-discreet covert op for helping enrich cronies. Ontario Homecare being a very large case in point.

As for intelligent writers at the Star, they're usually few and far between (yes, there are some democratic socialists who think the paper talks out its hat all too often) however Ms. Hebert has her moments, as does James Travers.

I still think Eric Margolis of the Sun is one of the most under rated writers in the country, largey just because he writes for the Sun.

I have had enough about Ralph and his medicare. With all the money Alberta has you would think the province would look after the old people but no they do not care. He can give his Ralph bucks or whatever you want to call them but read this article about how old people are treated and then ask yourself if you want his medicare reforms. As long as you are young Alberta is the place to be but once you turn 65 get the hell out quick if you can. http://www.cbc.ca/calgary/story/ca-hung ... 50427.html
