I agree with waiting until the end of the enquiry before an election. I don't see how anyone could think that we should make this decition without all the facts.

The Federal Liberals are not only the most corrupt bunch of clowns this country has ever had, they are about the most useless too.

Think about it. People still bitch about Mulroney. But his only "Corruption" involved patronage appointments (something all PM's do), some questionable favouritism towards Quebec at the expense of the west (see the CF-18 contract) and a few minor low level minions using their position to gain advantage. Most of them went down when whatever scandals happened became public.

On the upside, we got Free Trade out of the deal, an economic boom after the doldrums of the 1970's, and a re-invigorated military. Brian also tried to reign in spending ( he was thwarted by whining activists like the National Action Commitee on the Status of Women and unions), and bring Quebec into Confederation.

Imagine if a Conservative did some of the things we've seen the Liberals do in the last decade. Not just Gomery, that's the tip of the iceberg. How about the Shawinigate deal?(Chretien got sued over that and lost BIG!) The helicopters? The Subs? The HRDC boondogle? The Gun Registry fiasco? The cancelling of the Somalia Inquiry when it threatened to taint the Government? (Those fuckers disbanded an entire Regiment over the actions of a few soldiers, and now they expect us to give THEM the benefit of the doubt?)

These guys don't deserve to be elected Dog Catcher.

I don't care if Martin wasn't running the show then. The party is still full of the same arrogant, corrupt fucking crooks on the ground level. And I don't buy the new leader argument anyway. Martin was the Senior MP from Quebec and number 2 man in Government. If he didn't know what was going on, then he's an idiot. If he did, he's a crook.
