Good call or bad call? $1: Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said he has accepted the apology offered by an Alberta Liberal candidate over "unacceptable" and "disgraceful" comments he made about women.
John Reilly, a former provincial judge running for election in the Wildrose riding, recently said in a radio show that there are different degrees of sexual assault, and that they require different punishments.
Ignatieff said the comments, revealed by the Conservative party, aren't indicative of Reilly's character and he will remain as a Liberal candidate.
"He has served the community with a long record of distinguished public service," Ignatieff said. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/s ... ection2011

Sounds like the people who say Roman Polanski's rape of a drugged underage girl wasn't "rape-rape."

Anybody not think there are different degrees of sexual assault that require different punishments? Is the Reformacon position that an unwanted slap on the ass is the same as rape? Whats' unacceptable and disgraceful is that Ignatieff didn't support his candidate 100%
Wow, talk about PC gone wild. This is what happens when you class everything as sexual assault.

But who's the fool that's going to do that?

DrCaleb DrCaleb: Whatever these childish posts are intended to serve, it's dumb. If you think it's funny, congratulations. It seems any topic, regardless of how equal the debate may become, turns into people like you posting this shit.

Reading the comments on this story are just amazing. Some people do seem to feel that all sexual assaults should be punished equally. Others seem to take it that this means the Liberals will legalize child molestation. No wonder the Reformacons stand a chance of a majority with morons like that in the voting pool

OnTheIce OnTheIce: Good call or bad call? Couldn't care less at this point. My vote is pretty set in stone unless someone eats a kitten between now and May 2nd.

First... it was not a disgraceful remark. Second... it was not a good call, but it wasn't a bad call either. You do not accept nor request an apology where none is needed. Third... OnTheIce is a partisan troll. Sorry, OnTheIce... but look at the good side. At least I did not post a Monty Python quote or video.
