How exactly have they taken that card away, Tricycles?
Well, the poll results would indicate growing numbers of Canadians aren't particularly scared of him.
More importantly though, anyone putting partisanship aside for a second realizes that the campaign of fear the Liberals used to paint Stephen Harper as a "scary" ideologue eager to "sell us out" was nothing more than cheap politics.
Harper has been the PM for months now, but Canadian kids still aren't pledging allegiance to the Stars and Stripes in school are they?
The Royal Canadian Dragoons still haven't been deployed to Iraq, have they?
I haven't seen the government introduce a bill outlawing abortion, have you?
It's going to be pretty hard for you guys to keep trying that strategy next election when we've been the government for a year or so and things are running just fine.
What are you going to replace it with?

This fiasco with the four dead soldiers will do very nicely in reminding people of who the real Stephen Harper is. A Dubya wannabe.
Plenty scary.
Go on over to the "Lowering the Flag/Repat Ceremony" thread. You'll soon find that the vast majority of military people, both serving and former, agree with Harper. Considering their opinion is the one with the most validity, I don't think Harper has much to worry about.
After all, I don't think we were ever going to get the Streaker, Rev Blair or Derbyx vote anyway.
