I decided its not worth making a system to handle requests, will just use the forum. This thread will be used to make requests, please hold off requests until I get things a bit more in place. You ill then make requests to certain DJ's.

When I get sub forums working, I will make a CKA Radio sub forum under Canadaka.net forum.

I can recomend a few canadian blues artists and their cds on request. Theses are some very talented people some local & independent and others gaining recognition both in the US & Europe. They realy need support as all new canadian musiaians. It never hurts to get an other couple of people to hear your music.

Here in Ottawa alone we have a number of folks making a name for themselves. Sue Foley is well knowen in the US by blues fans but people down there think she is from Austin, TX. Tony D is huge in England & Italy, but is only a local act in ottawa. The Trevor Finlay Band is a huge local act that travels to western canada to great acclame, but somehow just can not break wide open. Then there are the young guys JW Jones for example. He records on a flegling canadaian lable out of Toronto "Northern Blues". He is making a big name for himself in blue circles much as Sue Foley did. Let not lose him to the US for a number of years in the same way. Two of JW's band mates have found wings as well. Steve Mariner is right now touring Austraila with an other canadian talent Harry Manx. Roxanne Potvin is now gaining american fans daily. You see that is just some of the scean here in ottawa.

My background is an the vice-president of The Ottawa Blues Society. I am also a very knowledgeable blue fan. Contact me if you wish. Use me as your blues guy!

Yeah, is there any way that we can switch which port it plays on? Port 80 would be preferential, I know some internet radio is on that port so it is possible...

It would probably just be best to have genre hours. Like metal from 1-3 am, rap from 3-5, 60's from 5-7, and so on, that way everybody gets what they want, and we know when to avoid the stuff we dont like.

Well weve been trying this out for a while in our =CKA= Gaming clan.

I introduced it as a joke to the gamers and they loved it so Canadaka brought it here.

We have a handfull of Dj's already but waiting for Canadaka to get everything in place.

I have been hosting NewfieBullet's Power hour a few nights a week.
(Floyd, Mettalica, Slayer, Megadeth, ETC)

PM me or you can find me On TeamSpeak for requests.

PS Please visit our Gaming page http://clan.canadaka.ca
