And before the usual culprits start ragging on the "source" confirmation is from the Ecosocialists own web page.

Funny how none of those things are in their platform, yet you choose to invent them anyhow.

"“[We would] abolish billionaires on the first day of our mandate by seizing all wealth exceeding $999,999,999.99 from any person living or doing business in our province,” claims the party’s platform. "

Well they admit the want to steel money.

Funny thing is let's say the do get elected to run a province. They wouldn't get a penny because all those billionaires would move. Not only do they not get that money but they would lose the tax revenue generated year after year from those billionaires.

Their own words speak to seizing all private property (homes, businesses, land, and farms), forcibly ending capitalism, and nationalizing all resources.

Those things will not be accomplished without paroxysms of blood and violence.

They never have been.

I went to the link and did a quick read through their platform.

Some things sound good as everyone likes the idea of services/goods that are free. However, with their notion of abolishing much of what this province relies on for driving the economy, thus bringing in revenue, where will the $ come from to pay for all those services? Much of it seems quite ambitious and will be difficult to implement realistically.

IMO they will get some support but it will come from those that currently support the Green/NDP parties. I guess we'll see what happens when the next election comes around.

And their platform does not say any of that.

https://thankyou.bcecosocialists.ca/policy

The strongest I can find is "expropriate with compensation, based on purchase price, not present value" certain Crown corporations that were sold off by certain corrupt and probably shady politicians.

You mean, like the Civil Forfeiture Act?

And like Thanos says, they aren't likely to get more than a few hundred votes anyhow.

Reality isn't the strong suit of the type of people who'll drift towards this party. Only those types of a certain mentality and lack of worldly knowledge would assume that things like goods and services should be free and that's mostly because they haven't lived long enough or worked enough to actually comprehend where the gov'ts money comes from.

There is a major difference between over charging for a product while under paying employees vs. taking money away from someone JUST because they have more than you think they should.

Is this a party you would support in elections? Some of their Ideas seem very close to some of the things you have said in the past.
