Stephen Harper should buy the thing give it do Don Cherry with the GG at a ceremony, I can just imagine the smug look on the GG.

The Liberals gave those things out like M&M's for the last 13 years.

I have earned several medals serving in the Air Force including the CD, would not sell it for anything. I have my grandfaters medals also, as well as his wings (we was RCAF pilot WW2). Not for sale at any price.

weaponeer, neither would I. On the other hand, starting to look like a Yank with all the fruit salad.

My opinion, however, is that whatever a family chooses to do, rightly or wrongly, should be respected. Hope my kids want to hang onto mine, but should times get REALLY TOUGH in the future, sell the buggers. I would be a happy memory, not a few ounces of scrap.

Military decorations are government property? That's an interesting fact of which I wasn't aware.
