RIP soldier, and thank you.

All should be remembered without needing TV.

They have their own glory from a job well done.

I just got the Blu-ray version and watched the first BD last night.

I agree with Martin. All the vets who went into battle deserve to be honoured like we honour Easy Coy.

Those veterans who fought in WW II saved the world from descending into a nightmare that would have lasted generations. Thank you to all that have served.

For those younger here who may not know the history of those people Tom Brokaw called the "Great Generation" in his history of WWII.
Who may not realize or understand the strict code greatgrand Dad
and Mom lived. Their early years were very different from the youth
of today.
These folks grew up in the poverty and loss and death of the Depression.
As they reached majority they were cast into the fire and death that was WWII.
Life as they grew up and matured was a n everyday struggle for
survival.
For those young or old Brokaw's book about these folks is a light into the past that has molder our futures.
And, all combat vets will attest. Living in fear for days on end, molds men and women into ways that bring strenght and goodness
that will last always.
