Trump just gave NATO an ultimatum to accept peace on Russian terms or risk US withdrawal from Europe. He wants them to reject the terms so he can do this and then declare marshial law and use those troops on his own people.

I kind of think that is the plan. Make the US a more hermit kingdom, so that no one is willing to intervene when the full oppression starts.

And it's actually funny that will mirror a story written in the 1950's by Robert Hienlein called "If this goes on". In it, the US is turned into a theocratic dictatorship by a popular President turned religious figure.

But in any case, Ukrainians will not surrender, even if Trump does. They will fight to the last man and woman. Hopefully Europe steps in and starts the US path to irrelevancy.

And we should be right there with the Euros. I'd have no problem with my taxes being raised if it meant strong commitment to building our military back to a strength that can affect change in the world along side them.

It was kind of sad how he slid into the echo chamber. I remember it well.

He posted an article from a notoriously factually alternate source, that Trump claimed children were immune to Covid. The posted an opinion bit that kids seem to get covid less easy than adults. I pointed out (on the alternate site) that resistant was not immune. Kids were in hospital, and dying from covid at that moment. They are not immune. He proceeded to equate me to a Russian doctor who is mostly responsible for the genocide of Ukrainians because of my hatred for the Orange Dictator. The he decided we are all too woke and left.

It was sad to see.

As a person of Polish extraction I have a good deal less trust in Russian intentions than some of my political leaders here in The States.

I am given to understand that the Secretary of Defence had given orders to the military to discontinue cyberware defence/operations against the Russian Federation.

If that is true I think he will find out very shortly that the Russian/Soviet empire hasn't changed.

Not only did the US stop sharing intel with Ukraine, they ordered others no not share US intel with Ukraine.

Ukraine can no longer anticipate where missiles and drones will hit, and deploy countermeasures to stop them. People will die because of this, and it's all to satisfy Cheetomoussolinis' ego.
