Wow, that's amazing! Someone should put that in the Constitution or something.

How often do we have to have this silly conversation in Canada? That’s not how the system works.

We have it every time a Conservative leader sees the possibilities of a minority government, and no other party willing to prop them up.

If he is crying already, he knows something is up.

My prediction stands.

They do have that right, McKenzie King was the only PM who governed when he didn't have the most number of votes

We get the same version of this bullshit every four years when some ignoramus thinks the popular vote should outweigh the state-by-state electoral vote.

Well, one things for certain, if you want to change how elections and Parliament works, you don't change it after you don't get the results you want, you change it between elections.

Pretty weird to have it every 4 years when it's only happened 5 times.

Popular vote should determine the winner in a True Democracy. However neither of our Countries are truly Democracies.

Even PR would give us a better match between seats and votes. It would do other things like represent smaller parties. In Alberta, for example, the Liberals should have got four seats based on their popular vote instead of none. The NDP and Greens would get more seats and the BQ fewer - good things all round.

Unless your BQ who is, in this example, reduced in representation. This would make it harder for them to follow and get thing done on their agenda.
