I wonder if that office asks the jihadis to remove their veils and stuff for 'security' reasons..

Discriminating against white people is perfectly ok.

Although, its probably no wonder this guy cant get a job. :)

He may not want a job. But he knows a good thing when he sees it. Why should the outsiders be the only ones to get govt cash in compensation. Good old English initiative, is what he's showing.

There's got to be a way to streamline this whole process. Get the lawyers out of the system. Instead of having to sue, just combine EI, welfare and human rights. "Were you actively seeking to be insulted in the last two weeks?" "Did you feel insulted at any time in the last two weeks?" "Yes?" "OK, here's your check." Of course then the lawyers will sue for being denied their rights.

If this guy was serious he would wear a monks robe which is what the Jedis were wearing. Hoodies have long been the domain rapper/gangstas. If he was a true Jedi then why didn't he just use the old Jedi mind trick?

"Hoodies are OK" and poof off goes the security guys.

You don't seriously believe this guy was serious, do you? He was making a point. Maybe he was serious about that.

The article doesn't say he was wearing a 'hoodie'. It said he was wearing the hood up. If he says hes a self proclaimed Jedi then he was more then likely Jedi robes and they have a hood on them.

Well if this is his picture: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ne ... -Jedi.html then he certainly seems to be wearing a standard hoodie jacket. Most robes don't have zippers.

Yeah. I would call that your standard gangsta hoodie, and if he was wearing that when they told him remove his hood then fine.

Pic wasn't in the orginal post.

Why fine. Are you the fashion police? You're going to evaluate what's a Jedi hood and what's not? This guy was making a point about Sikhs and Muslims wearing their head covering. Why can't he wear his? Sincere belief? Maybe he was trying to get a job so he could get his jedi robe, but at the moment all he could afford was his hoodie. You ever think about that. And are you going to let him carry his ceremonial light saber or not? What if he's from the Vader sect and needs to wear his mask?

I find it hard to believe the right to wear a hood in public is a religious freedom of being a jedi. From what I know of the movies when the Jedai have to interact with other people/species they remove their hoods.

They say their religion has only taken their roots from the movies, but they make their own rules.

A hoodie common to thousands of outdoor workers is now considered gangsta wear?
