Wasting your breath. No matter what one says or do in Ontario,,, McGuinty is only gonna do what he wants. He and his clown college of Liberals will pay the ultimate price in the next election.

I don't necessarily agree with McGuinty's refusal to seek consultation or input over the HST, but Hudak isn't going to be an answer, despite what the partisan parrots preach.

The Grits do need a shakeup, but Ontario doesn't need Harris retreads mucking it up again.

I'm hoping for a minority government - any party might do.

Well...i'm not usually a big fan, but minority gov'ts do a good job at creating legislative check and balance, plus it eliminates ideologues from claiming they've got an "electoral mandate."

Hudek is Harris-clone. Nothing could be worse for the province than to return that bunch to power. The HST makes a lot of economic sense, despite the natural reaction to a tax hike. It may not make McGuinty any friends, but it's objectively the right thing to do.

Yea, I'm loving five years of the 'health care premium' and no new hospitals in the region I live in, added in with 'smart growth' which has seen the region grow by 40% in ten years.

All good. Throw in more taxes for no more infrastructure for things I don't pay tax on now.
Nice, those Harris re-treads are looking good.

Cmon Lemmy, Harris was a breath of fresh air after Bobs mishandling.

Attack of the Clones is looking good.

Harris can never be forgiven for MPAC and the downloading of services on the municipalities. I'm as mad about that as EyeBrock is about the health-care premium. Harris also damn near destroyed education in this province and was set to do the same to healthcare. Dalton hasn't done a great job. I'm pissed about a lot of things in Provincial government, and I don't know who I going to vote for next time, but Harris was not a "breath of fresh air"..he was WORSE than Rae, 100 times worse than Rae.

Well, as an immigrant Rae put barriers in me getting a job. I'm white, I'm male and I speak English as a first language.
These were all bad things when I first came to Ontario in 1994.

Harris, well I got hired once he got in and 'Equity' hiring was binned.

Once Dalton got in I had a huge chunk taken from my wages for the 'Health care premium'. It was another 7% of my pre-tax wage that both my wife and I lost.

Three years ago we had a kid. We were jammed into the only hospital in our city that has had no obvious benefits from the extra taxes I have dutifully paid. We ended up in a packed maternity ward with overworked staff.

The whole 'smart growth' has meant that Mattamy et al have levelled green fields where I live and built monster homes on tiny lots.

I am less than jolly at paying even more taxes for this party that has done nothing for my standard of living. Just more taxes for less service and more people trying to get the same, degrading service.

I wholeheartedly agree - Harris a complete moron. His Common Sense Revolution (anything but) was a Reform-style ideology (as opposed to the traditional Red Toryism of Ontario Conservatism) that electorally came on the heels of Rae's misinterpretation of a protest vote as a mandate.

I haven't been exactly thrilled with McGuinty as of late, but i'd still take him than another round of Harris-style debacles

Well Mustang, the Libs have cost me a lot of money for no gain. Why should I look forward to more of the same?

And who says Hudak won't be the same or worse? As I said before, McGuinty has slipped into the arrogance of governance, but i'm not about to simply throw Ontario back to Harris-Hudak as a solution.

Ontario needs a minority gov't. Plain and simple.
