I don't accept this anymore. I could have that understanding in the first term. There is no excuse this time. almost 70% of the country either a) voted for the nazi or b) doesn't care enough to vote against the nazi.

If you've got 9 people sitting at a table and a nazi sits down at it, you've now got 10 nazis at the table. Fuck em.

I don't think that 70% of them believed he was a Nazi or even knew what a Nazi was. If someone sits at a table, and no one knows he's a Nazi, are they Nazis? The Right went hard at telling people they were being labelled Nazis because wokeism. Elon showed this is not true.

One thing I think CheetoPrez is good at is obfuscating a situation. Right now, Elon is stealing all the private information held in the US treasury on everyone - full financial information, and has the ability to stop money from leaving the Treasury to places he doesn't want it to go; and POTUS is waging the Stupid War to keep people looking at the shiny thing instead of the actual crime going on right in front of them. They aren't going to realize they have been robbed until its tax return time. Does that make them complicit? When the tarriffs bankrupt them, and the Oligarchs buy everything up at pennies on the dollar, and everyone is introduced to old fashioned Serfdom, are they complicit?

Sure, many of them will be complicit. But the vast majority have no choice in the matter. Just be sure to sort them first before they go in to that courtyard and put against the wall.

In today's age of information, ignorance isn't an excuse anymore. You don't get off a speeding ticket because you didn't know the speed limit, you shouldn't get off supporting a Nazi because you stuck your head in the ground.

Yes, they all are complicit. Reading less than 30 minutes of news can have you seeing what's happening in both instances. Choosing not to makes you complicit. The ones who voted against, that are still trying to inform people, that are now starting protest. They're the only ones not complicit. They've made an actual effort. Anyone that voted red or didn't vote can get fucked.

Tired of us needing to coddle the absolute fucking morons that hold societies hostage by being fucking morons. "Well they didn't know any better". Too fucking bad, they're adults, and it's time to accept the consequences like fucking adults. This attitude is part of the reason the US is in the situation that it's in. The republicans haven't known how to govern since Bush (and even then, barely). Democrats have been bailing them out of their shit for decades. Stop bailing them out. Stop coddling their dumb ass supporters. Stop excusing both sides morons. Stop excusing people who refuse to be informed. They made their bed, now they can fucking lay in it.

The experience we had here with people caught in an information silo led me to always try to educate rather than scold. The right wing media is designed to pull people in and never let them go and never let them have a hint of the truth. So I approach them with compassion rather than ire.

That may have driven many of them off, but at least I know it wasn't the anger like they showed us that drove them away.

I hinted at it, but I really think that this is going to end in gunfire. People will only tolerate an unelected man child from stealing their future for so long. Then they will use their second amendment. I feel sorry for those teenage patsies he has with him though. They really don't have the life experience to know the consequences of what they are doing. they just think it's cool to work on such an important network.

Threads are popping up asking why the media isn't covering protests in the US. Then they disappear. Seeing threads popping up asking if this takeover of government departments by unelected people is a coup or civil war. Then they disappear.

I don't know if these things are happening and Reddit is helping it, or trying to keep the peace.

it's cold outside, i'm not sure protests will be large - it doesn't matter anyway. they've got vehicles scanning faces of protesters; they'll let you have your fun in the streets today, but you'll get that knock on the door.
